We have a 40 gallon fish tanks guide on our website, however we thought it would be useful to explain how big a 40 gallon fish tank can be.
The most popular dimensions for a 40 gallon fish tank would be 36 inches x 18 inches x 13 inches (length x width x height). The most important measurement to pay attentiont to here would be the length as this will often determine if the fish tank can fit in your home.
If you want a shorter aquarium, you can try the dimensions 24 inches x 24 inches x 17 inches, which will create a square shape to the tank.
Hopefully this gives you an idea of how big a 40 gallon fish tank typically is. If you’re interested in a custom aquarium at this size please contact us here.
